Setting an alert on your strategy

This is what fires the moment your strategy actually enters or exits a trade. Same four steps for every strategy in the library.

"⋯" → Add alert on… → Create alert.

  1. 1

Add the strategy to your chart

Once it's on your chart, find it in the legend at the top-left and click the "⋯" (more) icon on its row.

  2. 2

    Click "Add alert on…"

It's the first item in that menu — click it to open TradingView's Create Alert dialog.

  3. 3

    Leave the Condition as-is

The strategy name and "Order fills and alert() function calls" are already selected by default — that's what fires on every entry and exit the strategy takes. You don't need to change this.

  4. 4

Set Expiration and Notifications, then Create

"Open-ended" keeps the alert running indefinitely. Under Notifications, turn on however you want to be told — App, Email, Webhook, or Sound — then click Create.
