Guides
Connect a strategy to your broker in about 10 to 15 minutes. Pick your connector below, then follow the steps one at a time.
Already set up and something is off? Go to Troubleshooting.
Which connector do you use?
A connector is the service that takes each LetAlgo signal and places the order at your broker. Pick yours to see the steps.
Not sure? TradersPost is the easiest. It is a separate service with its own sign-up and pricing.

TroubleshootingWhat each status and result means, and what to do about it.5 min
Start on Connect broker: every automation shows a status badge and a one-line reason. Then open Trades to see what happened to each signal.
What each status badge means
On Connect broker, under each automation.
- Ready
Everything is set. The next signal from the strategy goes to your connector.
What to do: Nothing to do.
- Automation off
This automation is switched off, or has never been switched on. Signals are not sent, exits included.
What to do: Press Turn on. If it will not turn on, press Test connection first and fix what it reports.
- Setup needed
The webhook link, size or max size is missing.
What to do: Delete the automation and add it again from Start setup. Adding the same strategy back never counts as a swap.
- Connection problem
Your last connection test failed, or your connector rejected a signal because the link no longer works.
What to do: Press Test connection and read the message. If your link was rejected, copy it again from your connector, then delete the automation and add it again with the fresh link.
- Membership needed
Your membership is not active, so no signals are sent, exits included.
What to do: Fix billing on the Account page. Meanwhile close any open trade at your broker yourself.
- Not available
This strategy cannot be automated right now.
What to do: Pick another strategy, or ask in the members' Discord.
- Paused by LetAlgo
LetAlgo has paused all automation, this strategy or this connector for safety or maintenance. Nothing is sent meanwhile.
What to do: Nothing to do. Your settings are kept and signals resume when the pause is lifted.
- Paused
Automation on your account has been paused.
What to do: Ask in the members' Discord.
- Protection stopped trading
One of your prop-firm protections (daily loss, drawdown, profit target, consistency, losing streak or trading window) blocked a new entry. Exits always go through, and a blocked reversal is turned into an exit so you are never left in the wrong direction. The numbers are LetAlgo's estimate from the alerts it forwarded, not your broker's.
What to do: Open Prop-firm protection on Connect broker to see which rule fired. Daily rules clear at the next trading day; drawdown and profit-target stops clear when you reset them.
- Daily limit hit
You reached Max new trades per day for today (UTC day). New entries are skipped until 00:00 UTC. Exit signals still go through.
What to do: Wait for the reset, or raise Max new trades per day on Connect broker.
What each result on Trades means
One result per signal and automation.
- Delivered
Your connector accepted the signal.
What to do: That means the connector received it, not that your broker filled it. If nothing traded, open your connector's own log, then your broker.
- Test only
LetAlgo is in test mode: the signal was checked and logged but nothing was sent.
What to do: Nothing to do. Live sending begins when LetAlgo switches out of test mode.
- Skipped
LetAlgo chose not to send it. The reason is shown, for example Daily limit, Automation off or Paused.
What to do: Open the reason. Most are fixed in one step: turn the automation on, raise the daily limit, or restore your membership.
- Failed
Your connector rejected the signal for good, for example a rejected link or an unknown symbol.
What to do: Read the reason, fix the link or symbol, and run Test connection. A failed signal is not re-sent, so check whether you need to place the trade by hand.
- Check provider
Your connector did not answer in time, so LetAlgo cannot tell whether the order went through. LetAlgo never re-sends these, because a duplicate order is worse than a missing one.
What to do: Check your connector's log and your broker right away, and place or close the trade by hand if you need to.
- Retrying
The send failed before your connector accepted it. LetAlgo retries for a short time, about 15 minutes, then gives up, because a late order is worse than no order.
What to do: Nothing to do unless it stays here. If it ends as Failed, read the reason.
- Sending
The signal is being sent right now.
What to do: Nothing to do. It becomes Delivered or Failed within seconds.
Size and safety limitsThree limits protect your account. Set them before you turn automation on.5 min
Contracts per trade
A whole number from 1 to 50. Start with 1 and raise it only after you have watched several signals go through.
Max contracts (safety cap)
A hard ceiling. An order larger than the cap is rejected and never sent, even if a setting is changed by mistake. Keep it at or just above your size.
Max new trades per day
A brake, from 1 to 50 (the default is 4). After that many new entries in a UTC day, further entries and reversals are skipped until the day rolls over at 00:00 UTC. Exit signals still go through, so a trade is never left without its exit. You can change it any time under Connect broker.
Check your firm's rules
Many prop firms limit or forbid automated trading, copy trading or trading from certain tools. Read your firm's own rules before you automate an evaluation or funded account. Following them is your responsibility.
Good to know
- The Risk calculator shows what a size risks per trade against your account's loss limits.
- Trading futures involves substantial risk of loss. Size the account for the worst losing streak, not the average one.
Test and liveWhat each test does, what Test only means, and what turning automation off does.4 min
Test connection never trades
For TradersPost it sends a deliberately invalid request to check that your link is accepted. For AlgoWay and custom platforms it checks your URL and message and shows a preview, and sends nothing. A pass means your settings look right, not that an order will fill.
Send test trade is a real order in live mode
It buys 1 contract on the account you connected and closes it a few seconds later. You will see it on your account, and a small fee or spread can apply. Use a demo or paper account. The button asks you to confirm first.
"Test only" means nothing was sent
When automation is in test mode, LetAlgo checks and logs each signal but sends nothing to your connector, and the Trades page shows Test only. A banner on Connect broker tells you when this is the case.
Turning off does not close trades
Turn off stops new signals being sent. It does not close a trade that is open, and while it is off the exit signal for that trade is skipped too. Turn automation off when you are flat, or close the trade yourself at your broker.
Your plan: One Strategy and All StrategiesHow many automations you can run, and how switching strategies works.3 min
Connect broker shows a plan chip with what you have used. Signals has a 7-day free trial. Automation has no trial: setup call included, try risk free for 30 days, terms apply.
One Strategy
One strategy at a time, on up to 3 accounts. Every automation you add must run the same strategy.
- Re-pick as often as you like until your first live signal reaches you.
- Days 1 to 7 after you start: up to 3 swaps, no wait.
- After day 7: 1 swap every 30 days.
All Strategies
Any strategy, as many automations running at once as you want.
- All Strategies members can switch any time, with the same close-out step.
How to switch
Remove the automation for the old strategy first, then add the new one. Close any open trade from the old strategy at your broker before you remove it: LetAlgo cannot see your broker, so it cannot close it for you.
If your membership is not active
No signals are sent, and that includes exit signals. Cancelling on Whop removes access straight away, so close any open trade at your broker before you cancel.
Cancelling during the trial
Cancel in Billing on Whop before the 7 days end and you are not charged.
Getting helpWhere to ask, and what to include so you get a fast answer.2 min
Read the status
Connect broker shows a badge and a one-line reason for each automation. The Troubleshooting guide explains each one and what to do.
Check Trades
Every signal LetAlgo handled is listed with what happened to it, and the reason when it was skipped or failed.
Ask in the members' Discord
Link your Whop account to Discord with the button below, then ask. Say which status badge you see, what the Trades row says and what you already tried.
Keep your webhook URL private
Never paste it in Discord or send it to anyone. If it leaks, make a new one in your connector and add the automation again.
Words used in the dashboardWhat the terms you will see mean, in a line each.
- Strategy
- A LetAlgo system that watches a market and signals when its rules say to enter or exit.
- Signal
- One instruction from a strategy: enter long, enter short, exit or close all.
- Connector
- The service that holds your broker link and places orders, such as TradersPost or AlgoWay.
- Webhook URL
- A private web address your connector gives you. LetAlgo sends signals to it. Anyone who has it can send orders to your account, so keep it secret.
- Contract
- One unit of a futures market, for example one Micro Nasdaq contract.
- Max contracts
- The safety cap. No single order larger than this is ever sent.
- Max new trades per day
- The daily brake on new entries. Exits are never blocked by it.
- UTC day
- The day used for the daily limit. It starts at 00:00 UTC.
- Test only
- A signal that was checked and logged but not sent, because automation is in test mode.
- Demo account
- A practice account with simulated money, the safest place to watch your first signals.
- Roll
- Moving to the next futures contract before the current one expires. Change the symbol under Contract symbol on Connect broker.
